Mindfulness From 6.15 - 6.45 we will be offering the opportunity to participate in Mindfulness for those wishing to take part. For this half hour you will be invited to stop and take some time to drop into being for a while and experience relaxation and focusing of the mind. Counselling It is our aim to make a one to one counselling service available to clients who can be better helped in this manner. We have a bank of Integrative and C.B.T. trained counsellors who are available to counsel clients in a warm, non-judgemental environment. The Discussion Group. There are a few purposes of the group. The first is to encourage networking of like minded people to aid support and also to help remedy social isolation. We have also noticed that is is beneficial with clients dealing with social anxiety. The group is facilitated and can be used to discuss anything that may be beneficial to the individual. Participants will be invited to voice their views and listen to the views of other participants. This can be beneficial for a number of reasons. Firstly, being able to voice your thoughts and feelings surrounding everyday events , when handled sympathetically can give way to new perspectives and understanding. Secondly, the feeling of unburdening yourself can feel liberating. The opportunity to lay out some of the many thoughts that we keep at the forefront of our mind can be informative and be an enormous help to our own personal development. Emotionally provoking events can stay at the forefront of our minds and can be uncomfortable so have you ever wondered why it affects people differently? Understanding why can open up a whole new way of thinking and being. |

During this part of the sessions, there will be an opportunity to access a range of practical activities either as part of a tutored group working towards an end project, or individually as an expression of thoughts and feelings, found too difficult to vocalise. There will be a variety of media available to work with and help on hand. The feeling of productivity and accomplishment provided by these activities are uplifting and rewarding.

Mini Talks If required from time to time there will be a different interactive talk, on various subjects, to arm clients attending with tools to use in every day life to cope with common issues. Topics covered will be on subjects such as (but not limited to) anger management, coping with panic attacks and abusive relationship awareness. Reiki You will have the opportunity to try Reiki , an ancient stress reducing, healing technique that compliments traditional therapies and medication and promotes your body healing. Therapeutic massage Also to help reduce stress we can offer massage to help lighten your stressful load. Our massage therapist is also on hand to offer advice on practicalities like posture and muscle injury. N.L.P. Our newest recruit to our team can offer you client insight into their thoughts using Neuro Linguistic Programming to help identify the areas of our thinking that is holding us back. |
